hi does anyone have any information on the engine codes for my vw polo
as my code is alm and someone said that the aee fits all 1.6 models can anyone tell me if this is true or do i need to keep searching for the right code thanks , Rob

ALM is a 1600 8 valve engine - Polo Classic 07/98 - 09/01.  Also in Seat Cordoba.  Seems to be very similar to AEE.  Block and head share same part numbers.  ALM is just a newer version of AEE.

Doesn't seem to be used in the hatch models only the saloons.

thank you  for your reply ,so if the block and the head have the same part number does that mean that they are the same and its just other parts may be different then ,should i get the AEE one and just put all the ALM parts on it then .

Should be Ok, probably only minor updates so all the parts 'should' transfer.  best of luck with it all
