hi there, any advice would be greatly appreciated, my 1998, 1.4 8v runs like a bag of bolts!!! it splutters right thro the rev range, now and again it runs ok if you just tickle the throttle, changed the plugs and air filter and no difference, many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Does it idle OK
The SPI ones have a rubber flange under the SPI unit which can leak air = rubbish running
Duff HT Leads / Cap / Rotor Arm
Blocked fuel filter
